Professional air source heat pump installation, servicing and repairs across Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.
Air source heat pumps offer an alternative way to heat your home, using energy from the outside air to provide heating and hot water. Fluxo Plumbing & Heating provides professional air source heat pump (ASHP) installation, servicing and repairs, helping homeowners understand their options and determine whether a heat pump is suitable for their property.
From initial assessment and system planning through to installation and commissioning, we'll help ensure your heating system is designed around the requirements of your home.
A Complete Heating Solution for Your Home
Installing an air source heat pump involves much more than simply choosing the outdoor unit. For the system to perform effectively, it's important to consider your property's heating requirements, existing heating system, radiators or underfloor heating, hot water requirements and how the different components will work together.
Fluxo can assess your property and discuss what's required before recommending an appropriate solution. Our approach covers the project from planning and system design through to installation and commissioning, giving you professional support throughout the process.
Using Energy From the Air to Heat Your Home
An air source heat pump extracts latent heat energy from the outside air and uses it to provide heating and, depending on the system, hot water for your home. Unlike a traditional gas or oil boiler, which generates heat by burning fuel, a heat pump transfers existing heat from one place to another using electricity.
Air source heat pumps typically operate with lower flow temperatures than traditional boiler systems. This means the design and specification of the wider heating system are particularly important.
Correctly sizing the heat pump and the radiators, underfloor heating, hot water storage and heat loss of the property all contribute to how effectively the finished system performs.
Start With the Property, Not the Product
Every home is different, and an air source heat pump shouldn't be treated as a one-size-fits-all replacement for a traditional boiler. The suitability of a system can depend on factors including:
- The size, age and type of property
- The property's heat loss
- Existing radiators and pipework
- Whether underfloor heating is installed or planned
- Hot water requirements
- Available space for equipment
- The existing heating system
- How the household uses its heating and hot water
Fluxo can discuss these considerations with you and help determine what may be required to create an effective heating system for your property. This is always subject to heat-loss calculations.
A successful air source heat pump installation begins before any equipment is fitted.
Fluxo can support your project through each stage:
